Rogue Ales Chipotle Ale

Published By

We’re especially fond of spicy foods, which is why at least one of our kitchen cabinets is dedicated to an unlimited supply of hot sauces. Its for this reason that the Chipotle Ale by Rogue Ales especially interests us. The Chipotle Ale is an honorary beer dedicated to Spanish author Juan de la Cueva, who in 1575, wrote of specific Mexican foods flavored with seedless chipotle and beer. The Ale is based on Rogue’s American Amber Ale, which boasts Great Western 2-row and Mair Munich malts along with Cascade and Perle Hops, and then carefully spiced with smoked chipotle chile peppers. The result is a bold, crisp golden ale with a smokey aroma and distinct chile flavor. Available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft in a select few venues.
