Snowfeet

Snowboarding? Yawn. Skiing? Been there. This winter, maybe you want something new to do in the snow. How about strapping tiny sleds to your feet and just going for it? Snowfeet are made from low temp molded plastic that strap to your regular winter/hiking boots. Far smaller than skis or snowboards, these will fit in a pack and leave you free to climb that hill then go flying down it.

Made by a company out of the Czech Republic, Snowfeet are designed to feel like something between skiing and skating. They don’t recommend taking them in deep powder, and since stopping is a bit more difficult, you might want to avoid steep slopes. But the cost of entry on these is probably lower than any board or skis you own, so we could easily see taking these for a run or two next time you’re headed up the mountain. – $135
