Toyota’s 2013 model FJ Cruiser continues its tradition of superior off-road engineering while maintaining perfectly optimized geometry for on the road cruising. It features a boxed steel frame reminiscent of the 4×4 vehicles of old, engine skid plates, 4×4 transfer case, and an articulating double-wishbone independent front suspension that gives a little headroom for the large 32-inch tires. This serious off-road package is powered by an adequate 4.0 liter V6 engine that’s protected from dirt and grime by a cyclone pre-air cleaner should the trail get a little messy.
