deBolex Ducati 749S

Unlike many other custom bike firms, deBolex Engineering doesn’t believe in completely tearing down a production bike and rebuilding it into something less practical to ride on a daily basis. Instead, their ethos is to celebrate the manufacturer’s bike-building efforts by keeping the core of each bike intact — and improving upon them with lightweight custom bodywork and a variety of performance upgrades. That belief especially rings true with this handsome Ducati 749 Super Cafe Racer.

The client requested a cafe racer with an Italian aesthetic, which gave the Debolex team plenty of room to shine with the Ducati donor bike. The Ducati was outfitted with a variety of upgrades including a custom-made aluminum fuel tank, a new seat reworked in Alcantara, a Maxton rear shock absorber, Michelin tires, and a Motogadget Speedometer.
