The Texxas World Music Festival was an annual summer arena rock concert that lasted from 1978 to 1988, and featured some of the biggest acts of that time such as Van Halen, Metallica, The Eagles, Boston, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Rush, Triumph, Bon Jovi, Journey, and Foreigner. 35 year veteran concert photographer Vernon L Gowdy III captured some of Texxas Jam’s magic on film, both onstage and backstage, and has decided to share that magic with the world. His limited collector’s edition hardcover book, Texxas Jam 1978-1988, features concert and backstage photographs in color of one of the hottest, most epic festivals in music history, complete with a narration.
