The A-Box from Thodio is a portable speaker made from an actual Army-issued ammo box. And for a metal can that used to carry .50 caliber ammunition, the A-Box sounds surprisingly well thanks to a 200 watts RMS audiophile amplifier and custom filtered kevlar coned coaxial speakers with softdome tweeters integrated into the design.
It’s also tough as nails, sporting 1mm plates of steel, kevlar, and other vibration dampening materials that ensure it can handle bumps, drops, some rain and even some napalm that would eventually lead to the demise of other plastic based speakers on the market.
