If you have ever wanted to acquire the iconic 1955 Porsche 550, this might be your chance. As one of the most desirable Porsche vehicles of all time, this 550 Spyder is in incredible shape thanks to an impeccable restoration effort.

This particular vehicle is chassis number 550-0050 and finished assembly on June 28th of 1955. The vehicle was then delivered to the west coast of the United States and competed in racing events until 1965.

There are several racing history documents as well as ownership documentation included with the vehicle. By the time the ‘80s came around, cost was not a factor for the owner at the time. So, the 550 Spyder underwent a full restoration from the ground up. A meticulously-detailed full restoration dossier is also included, featuring hundreds of photos and letters regarding the completed work.

The 550-0050 chassis has even attracted the attention of some fame. Previous owners include famous Porsche collector, Claude Picasso, son of Pablo and famous french singer Florent Pagny. This 1955 550 Spyder has changed hands many times, but it has made few public appearances since the acquisition by the current owner in 2008.

Today the car sits in very good condition and is ready for new ownership. It is currently registered for use on German roads.

As one of just 97 factory-built 550 Spyders, this is a rare machine and a piece of automotive history. Now you have the chance to experience one for yourself. Price is available upon request. Interested buyers may contact Auxietre & Schmidt to get the conversation started.
