If you have a taste for awesome vintage Porsche automobiles, you may want to check out this breathtaking 1958 Porsche 356A Speedster. Since the current owner’s acquisition in 1985, this Speedster’s beautiful preservation is a testament to the ongoing renovation and rejuvenation efforts. Some of the work over the years includes a full silver repaint, a new black interior and rebuilding the replaced 1600S flat-four cylinder engine.

In storage since the early 1990’s, the Speedster has recently undergone an engine reseal, a tune-up, brake system service and much more to get the car running again. Now this 1958 Porsche Speedster is available on consignment with records dating back to 1985. There are plenty of extras included with the sale such as period literature, the driving manual, a removable hardtop, side windows, Kardex and a clean title.

This 356A also features headlight housing and side trim restoration. A black convertible top, a black tonneau cover, and an un-restored removable hardtop is also included. The seller also recently gave the 356A Speedster a new hood seal fitment along with a paint correction and detail.

The refinished factory 15-inch steel wheels look sharp with the fitted chrome hubcaps. Classic 165-section Michelin XWX tires wrap the wheels with vintage style. The seller also rebuilt the wheel cylinders for all four wheel drums and performed an adjustment.

Interior upholstery restoration spruces up the door panels, black seats and the top of the dash. The tonneau cover has been redone in vinyl. Dark gray square-weave carpeting goes with new rubber mats along the floor. The addition of motorsport-style lap belts provide a touch of modern precaution.

Rebuilt and modified by Wagenwerks in 1986, this Porsche features a 1.6L Super engine along with two Zenith 32 NDIX carburetors. While being rebuilt, the engine received many mods and refurbishments such as rebushing the connecting rods and refreshing the heads. The seller has also installed a new Sachs clutch disc and pressure plate, along with a new transmission mount and shift shaft seal.
