As an elegant ride, the 1972 Jaguar E-Type V12 looks great, while driving like a dream. Although you wouldn’t be able to tell just by looking at it, this E-Type has had a lot of work done over the years to help retain its excellence. On top of the extensive work history done to the vehicle, the folks selling the car have the invoices on hand to prove it.
A well-known Jaguar specialist has owned this ‘72 E-Type since 2013. As mentioned, there is a long list of modifications and improvements made to this E-Type. The original 5.3L V12 engine has been rebuilt and now features a robust 6.4 liters while retaining its matching numbers. Along with the rebuilt engine, the E-Type also benefits from forged pistons, sport camshafts and enlarged intake valves.
In addition to the rebuilt engine, this E-Type has undergone a full overhaul of the carburetors. A 5-speed Tremec T5 transmission with a long 5th gear helps the E-Type shift smoothly while allowing for a top speed of 250 km/h. This E-Type now features an electronic ignition system, new fuel pumps and an adjustable suspension with Gaz dampers.
Other modern improvements include additional gauges, air conditioning, tinted windows all around, a big bore exhaust system and a front AP Racing brake system. The inspection, renewal or replacement of every screw, cable and bracket contribute to this car’s excellent condition.
This Jaguar E-Type has approximately 130,000 km on the vehicle. Interested parties may contact Weekend Heroes for more information and you can set up an appointment to view the ‘72 Jaguar E-Type for yourself in Munich, Germany.
