2014 Dodge SRT ViperLess than a year after the release of the much anticipated 2013 SRT Viper, Chrysler will debut the 2014 SRT Viper TA at the New York International Auto Show on March 27th.
The SRT Viper “TA”, an abbreviation for its new “Time Attack” package, is designed for guys who not only want a cool ride during the week, but who are also looking to take their track driving to the next level. The basic design of the SRT Viper TA retains that of the GTS and SRT models, with a few upgrades that make all the difference on the track.

The suspension system has been re-tuned and upgraded with a two-mode Billstein Damptronic system, adding even more rigidity to the handling, along with firmer levels of damping. The former aluminum structural X-brace has been shed, and replaced with a much lighter carbon fiber brace, increasing torsional rigidity and stiffness by 50%.

The exterior of the viper is even more aerodynamic now, thanks to the carbon fiber front splitters and rear spoiler, while underneath sit Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires mounted on spoked, Sidewinder II wheels. The eye-catching Crusher Orange Paint-job rounds out the exterior design, and will be available on only 33 units, beginning, this fall.

The real beauty of the 2014 SRT Viper TA is under the hood, where lies a handcrafted aluminum 8.4-liter, mid-front V-10 engine, capable of generating an impressive 640 Horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. This may be love at first sight. Or lust. Either way, we’d love to get our hands on the new Viper TA and have our way with it.
