Don’t let the hatchback fool you. The tenth anniversary Mazda3 ($TBA) has brought the cool back to compact sedans. Along with being a half-inch lower, an inch and a half wider, and 50% sexier, the new Mazda3 features a 40 MPG rated Skyactive 2.0-liter or 2.5-liter engine paired with your choice of a manual or automatic transmission. Mazda’s new i-Activsense saftey features are also thrown in to the mix for good measure, which include an optional backup camera, a lane departure warning system, forward obstruction warning, radar cruise control, and smart city brake support. Available sometime this fall.
