A long long time ago back in 1957, a fire broke out in the Brown’s Lane Factory, consuming what were slated to become 9 of the 25 total completed and semi-completed road-legal Jaguar D-Type race cars.
To make things right, Jaguar is building 9 new examples of a highly-exclusive continuation XKSS model –built by Jaguar’s skilled team of engineers to ensure authenticity and attention to detail — to replace the originals that succumbed to the fire nearly 60 years ago. Each car will be built to the same specifications as the first 16 made in 1957 and fully certified by Jaguar. – $1,250,000.
