2020 BMW M4 Edition M Heritage Coupe

BMW M GmbH is the high performance and racing division established by the German automaker in 1972. To commemorate BMW’s rich racing and high performance heritage, they are introducing an exclusive limited run of the 2020 BMW M4 Edition M Heritage coupe.

The celebration of BMW’s legacy can be found in the finer details of the Edition M Heritage M4. It will only be available in the three colors found within the BMW logo: Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue or Imola Red II. This special edition M4 coupe features a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CRFP) roof with an offset decorative stripe in one of the three M colors. Forged 20 inch BMW M light alloy wheels feature an orbit grey finish and are wrapped in 265/30R20 front and 285/40R20 rear tires to keep the high performance coupe handling like a dream.

For U.S. specific models, the interior of each limited edition M4 is matched perfectly with the corresponding exterior paint. The full Merino leather M sport seats keep you planted behind the wheel while the carbon fiber trim accents add the finishing racing touch to the interior.

With only 750 of these 2020 BMW M4 Edition M Heritage coupes being built, each one will feature the “Edition ///M Heritage” logo and “1/750” numbering along the door sill.

It is impossible to mention BMW without getting into performance and handling. The M4 Edition M Heritage features 444 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque allowing for a 0-60 mph time of only 3.8 seconds. A 7-speed Dual-Clutch transmission is equipped to transfer all that power to the ground. Of course, the German automakers’ gentleman’s agreement of using an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph remains in place on the M4.

When it comes to handling, BMW’s Competition Package Adaptive M Suspension has been further improved from those found on standard M4 vehicles. Featuring new springs, shocks and anti-roll bars, the M Edition Heritage coupe also has reconfigured driving modes. Even the standard M4 Active M Differential and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) have been fine-tuned to match the higher performance dynamics found on Competition Package-equipped Heritage coupes.

There is a lot to love about the 2020 BMW M4 Edition M Heritage for both casual fans and driving enthusiasts alike. Although getting behind the wheel of this M4 may prove to be difficult with such a limited run, the experience will only prove to be that much more special for those who find a way to drive one.
