2020 Maxlider MX4 Ford Ranger

When you’re looking for a classic Bronco that feels — and runs — like a fully kitted-out luxury truck, you turn to Maxlider Brothers Customs. The Illinois custom shop is currently the top Bronco shop in the country and, all told, they’ve been turning out custom builds for about 15 years. In that time, the customer requests kept coming in for Maxlider to turn their skills on other Ford offerings, namely, the trucks. But the shop just didn’t have the time to devote to a new line.

Then Ford announced the relaunched 2021 Bronco and the 2021 Ford Ranger would share a platform. Maxlider decided the time was finally right to branch beyond the Bronco. The Maxlider 2020 MX4 Ford Ranger comes in two packages, offering upgrades that take the new Ranger to the next level, and honestly a couple of levels beyond that.

Both the Lariat MX4 Ford Ranger and the XLT MX4 Ford Ranger have been performance tuned to deliver 332 horsepower and 427 foot-pounds of torque — up from the 270 horses and 310 torque that the stock Ranger delivers. Both have six-inch lift kits (with variations on the shocks). Both upgrade to BFGoodrich KO2 or KM3 tires and custom Maxlider wheels. And both get the Maxlider decal package and custom Maxlider headrests.

The differences between the two editions are subtle but noticeable, with the Lariat version also including an LED-lit Razerrack, LED lights on the grille, a full-size spare, and special-edition side steps — and, of course, the Lariat and the XLT editions are based on their respective models. Both Maxlider Ranger editions are available through your local Ford dealership. Inquire now if you’re ready for a 2020 Ranger with the look and power of the full Maxlider treatment.
