2021 Ford F-150

How does a brand improve upon their already stellar Built Ford Tough reputation? By making it even better, of course. Ford is rolling out the most productive F-150 ever built for the 2021 model year and it is impressive.

The exterior of the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 features a bolder, more aggressive style. Tough as nails with the looks to back it up, the fearless grille design leads the way from jobsite to meetings. Getting the job done right, the first time, is all in a day’s work for this truck.

New for 2021, an available exterior Tailgate Work Surface ensures you always have space when you need to get something done quickly. Inside, the newly available Interior Work Surface provides plenty of space to work from a laptop or enjoy your lunch break more comfortably.

All work and no play makes any truck feel too much like an office, but that is not the case here at all. Comfort, convenience and advanced technology leave plenty of time for leisurely recreation.

Another new feature, optional Max Recline Seats provide almost 180° of reclining movement to help you catch some shut-eye between tasks. Modern connectivity features such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Ford+Alexa compatibility provide entertainment wherever you are.

If you love power, this delivers it in more ways than one. With the standard 3.5L EcoBoost V6 hybrid engine, Ford is targeting more horsepower and torque than any other light-duty full-size pickup truck on the market (at the time of the press release). However, to add even more capability to the 2021 F-150, Ford also wants to help charge your power tools.

Perhaps the most productive and innovative new option is the available Pro Power Onboard feature. Pro Power Onboard provides generator-level power to your work or camp sites. This system is available with 2.0 kilowatts of output on some optional gas engines. However, models equipped with the available PowerBoost feature come standard with 2.4 kilowatts of output that is upgradeable to 7.2 kilowatts.

The power is accessible through outlets inside the cabin as well as up to four outlets in the cargo bed. With 120-volt 20-amp outlets (240-volt, 30-amp outlets on the 7.2 kilowatt version), you will have plenty of juice to charge tools between shifts.

Is there anything Ford forgot to add to the 2021 F-150? It is easy to see why Ford is marketing this as the most productive F-150 ever. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is getting the job done right, so you can enjoy a few hours before getting back to it tomorrow.

When you have the right tools, you save time and energy and this is the right tool for almost any job. Period.
