In fact, GMC calls the next-generation Canyon the “official vehicle of nowhere” and they claim it is the most advanced midsize truck for off-roading. GMC says they built and designed the new Canyon AT4X from the ground up to conquer any terrain.
The Canyon stands tall thanks to a standard factory lift kit and it features a wide, aggressive stance. Some of the new features include an available underbody camera system including views of the front and rear of the underbody. There is also an available head-up display.
Other features include a fully digital driver information center. You’ll have access to Apple CarPlay and full Android Auto capability. But what most Canyon AT4X enthusiasts rave about is its serious off-road ability.
It comes standard with 33-inch MT tires and very impressive Multimatic DSSV dampers. You have front and rear e-lockers as well. You’ll find skid plates already installed on the Canyon AT4X and there is even an exclusive driving mode labeled Baja. That’s when you know this truck can dominate off the beaten path.
There is 10.7 inches of ground clearance thanks to the factory lift and you can achieve an approach angle of 36.9 degrees with the Canyon AT4X. Under the hood you will find a 2.7L turbocharged High Output engine producing 430 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower.
Any way you slice it, the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X is ready to carve the dunes and power over any terrain you want to throw its way. This truck looks mean and it certainly does not fear anything in its path.
