I don’t know about you, but I have a full set of stereo speakers sitting in my garage, gathering dust, because they can’t link up to smart home system and I don’t want to a bulky tuner taking up space in my tiny living room. Let’s face it, Alexa and Echo satellites are a lot more compact. Well, leave it to Amazon to innovate a workaround.
The Echo Link (not yet available for purchase as it awaits FCC authorization) not only pairs with your Alexa system, but you can hook it up to stereo speakers, ostensibly for greater amplification than offered by your average smart home speaker. The single, anachronistic volume knob on a black box is pure retro kitsch, considering you can use voice commands to increase volume if you have a compatible device like Echo Dot. – Learn More
