Although the new Amazon Echo delivers rich sound via it’s 2.5-inch subwoofer, a 2-inch driver, and dual speakers, labeling it a speaker alone does it an injustice. Similar to Apple’s Siri, Amazon Echo follows verbal commands via built-in microphones, acting as your personal assistant by giving you the weather or other requested information, streaming music from any device of your choosing, setting your alarms, retrieving text and email alerts, and pretty much anything in between. – $180
