There is a camping book out there, and we won’t say the name, but inside this particular book, in the section pertaining to campfires, the instructions instruct: “Get out your camp stove” in order to make a fire. Needless to say, I burned that book.
Now here’s the book that should have been included on that camping trip so many years ago. A sturdy, informative, and downright handsome (like most Chronicle stuff tends to be) book about fire that has practical information on how to turn wood and kindling into man’s original best friend (dogs didn’t start coming around until we had a few things figured out). Tips on woodstove and fireplace fires are also included so the book is pretty much useful year round. And it won’t inspire you to burn it. – Shop Now
