In 1976, Bulova released its first LED watch, the Computron, a futuristic timepiece featuring an unconventional trapezoidal case with its LED display on the side. Often called a “drivers’ watch” because it allowed the wearer to check the time without moving his wrist from the steering wheel, the watch’s angled time display was innovative, in that it addressed the problem of glare from direct sunlight which might otherwise impair the visibility on an LED watch.
Now, the brand has partnered with D-Cave, purveyors of live gaming, for an exclusive collaboration. Inspired by gaming culture, the Computron D-Cave has been reinterpreted for the digital age and features a sleek stainless steel case with luminous green accents on a black silicone strap with a three-piece buckle and a green LED time display.
