Elysian Brewing Chucky: A Killer Wit Beer

Published By

Red alert, everyone: It’s October, and that means we’re now in Spooky Season. Expect pumpkins galore, horror movie marathons, and altogether too many sexy costumes.

Elysian Brewing is fully embracing the spirit of the season, too, with their newest wit beer. Inspired by a one-two punch combo of Belgian witbier flavors and classic horror films, it’s an absolutely delightful way to get fully into your fall groove.

Pumpkin and cranberry additions to the already deeply flavored wheat beer base give this ale a distinctly autumnal flavor, while accent notes of chamomile and cinnamon really drive the point home.

Despite what sounds like an overload of fall flavors though, the Chucky witbier is remarkably balanced—and relatively low in alcohol, at just 5.3 percent ABV. That makes it a perfect complement for a night spent indoors, watching your favorite slasher flicks while leaves cover the ground.
