EZ Ice Backyard Hockey Rink

Published By

Want to deke like a Stanley Cup winner but don’t have your own hockey rink? No longer a problem. If you’ve got a flat spot big enough, you can have your very own place to skate whenever you want. (It does have to be cold enough to freeze water. Sorry Florida.) Instead of using stakes that bust sprinkler pipes and mess up lawns, the EZ Ice Backyard Hockey Rink uses a strap system that gets stronger as the water weight increases.

Patent-pending and developed at Yale, the rink takes 60 minutes to set up and they say a 10 year old can do it (we’re pretty sure that means it’s easy). The walls are strong enough to take a direct slapshot and it comes in sizes from kiddie (15’ X 30’) to NHL (80’ X 200’). Set it up, fill it with water then practice your saucer pass. – $1,700+
