Ferrari 488 Pista

Pista is Italian for “racetrack” and there’s good reason why Ferrari’s newest model carries that name. Taking what they’ve learned on the track, Ferrari made the 488 Pista lighter, faster and more powerful. How powerful? It happens to be the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history.

By taking cues and lessons learned from two of their racing cars, the 488 GTE and the 488 Challenge, Ferrari was able to cut the weight, tweak the engine and up the aerodynamics, to produce a car that churns out a gut-tickling 711 horsepower (pushing 2,822 pounds), with a top speed of 211 mph and doing zero to sixty in under three seconds.

And the looks aren’t half bad either. The F1-inspired S-duct and diffusers up front and higher/longer rear spoiler in back lend the car a track-hungry look with street-ready style — and are also responsible for a 20% increase in downforce.
