Hennessey GMC Sierra Denali ‘Goliath’

What’s better than 420 horsepower? 700 horsepower. It’s simple math and the people over at Hennessey Performance are very good at upping the numbers. Starting with a 2020 GMC Sierra Denali (or, if you prefer, a Chevrolet Silverado), Hennessey’s Goliath upgrade adds a 2.9 liter supercharger system that surges the output of the truck’s 6.2 liter V8 from 420 to 700 bhp at 6,300 rpm. You’ll also get an upgraded camshaft and pushrods, plus dyno tuning — all installed and performed by a Hennessey pro.

And since a Hennessey upgrade is always more than just an engine tweak, the Goliath also comes with the option of HPE’s Stage-1 off-road package which lifts the truck 6 inches and bolts on custom 20-inch, 10-spoke wheels and 35-inch Toyo off-road tires. The Goliath-branded bumper and grill are completely blacked out, down to the GMC emblem, but five added LED lights brings back the brightness significantly.

When you climb into the truck, a stowed away electronic side step unfolds into view as the door opens, then neatly tucks away again, slimming the profile a touch on this beast of a truck. Inside, custom-stitched black leather seats display both the Goliath and Hennessey logos in red, with black leather trim covering just about everything that could possibly get the leather treatment. In back, an electronic bed cover push-button deploys to keep your gear safe from the elements, without you having to step into the rain yourself.

Hennessy’s Goliath package will run around $27,000 — with the off-road package tacking on an additional $15,000. You can order your build direct from Hennessey, or just say the word at any Chevy or GMC dealer.
