Hobowood Carabiners

An essential part of everyday carry, titanium, steel, and aluminum carabiners are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. This particular carabiner by Hobowood is, however, the very first carabiner this author has seen made from wood. The wood carabiners are created by creative designer and wood artisan Xabier Ferro, who shapes and molds each one by hand from 17 layers of oak, walnut, or a mixture of both. While you probably shouldn’t use the Hobowood Carabiner for rock climbing operations, attaching one of them to your existing keychain would definitely add a bit of class to your EDC. – $105+
