Hookie Co. BMW R100 Hammerhead

Out in Dresden, Germany there’s a bike shop that likes making understated yet thoroughly unique custom motorcycles. Their neighborhood garage is combined with a coffee shop open to motorcycle enthusiasts and coffee drinkers alike. Their latest creation, built for a customer living on a farm in the Austrian Alps, started out life as a 1979 BMW R100/7. Hookie Co. kept details that hint at that former incarnation, namely the fuel tank and (fully rebuilt) engine.

The most modern upgrade comes from the m.unit blue — the Bluetooth-enabled heart of the bike’s electrical that’ll run diagnostics and even switch on the bike with a smartphone. They lowered the front end, added Trucklite LED headlamps, along with two additional spotlights just below the tank (good for lighting up those dark Austrian backroads). An entirely new rear frame was handmade from 25mm steel tubing and everything — all the way to the snowflake rims — was powdercoated black. Just like the hammerhead shark, this Hammerhead is a hunter. Learn more at Hookie Co.
