Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD

No matter how much we look forward to spring, none of us look forward to the return of lawn care (apologies to those in year-round lawncare states and respect to all you lawncare-free apartment dwellers). A homeowner who gets themselves one of these, however, will be out there daring the first shoots of spring grass to rear their tender green heads.

Once set up, Husqvarna’s Automower 435X AWD makes its rounds and keeps your grass at an even height all growing season long. Schedule it to run as often as you see fit and it’ll tackle an area nearly the size of an acre, running for 100 minutes on a charge

Thanks to its four AWD wheels and segmented body, the Automower 435X AWD can handle 35 degree inclines and navigate complex landscaping. To program/control it, there’s an easy-to-use interactive, icon-based display, or just use your phone with the app. While it runs, the Automower uses onboard GPS to create a map of your yard, so it knows where it’s already mowed and where the boundary wires are set up.

That phrase “boundary wire” probably clued you in — this isn’t something you pick up and start using the same day. Professional installation is required, but it’s also included in the price. As for that, a push mower from the Home Depot might run you a few hundred bucks, but this one requires you to send off five grand. But once it’s up and running, you never, as in ever, have to mow your lawn again.
