Husqvarna Svartpilen 701

2018 was the first time you could buy a Husqvarna street bike since the 1960s. Up until then the Swedish-born motorcycle company was in the business of making motocross and other dirt- and track-bound bikes. With the release of the “pilen” bikes — the Svartpilen (black arrow) and Vitpilen (white arrow) — Husqvarna paired Scandinavian simplicity with flat track, no-nonsense functionality into two very accessible bikes.

The 2019 Svartpilen 701 (also on offer, the smaller Svartpilen 401) features a zippy single cylinder 692.7 cc engine delivering a peak 75 horsepower at 6,750 rpm. Little flat track touches are peppered throughout, like the rear side panels, the high and angled exhaust, the upright handlebars, and the LED headlight mounted to a panel that looks strikingly like a number plate.

The Svartpilen is intended to be simple, timeless, and a heck of a lot of fun to ride. And from what we can see, that intention has been delivered. – Shop Now
