Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept

In an exciting development, the Fiat Chrysler group recently revealed the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept. This badass-mobile features a HEMI 6.4L, 392 cubic foot engine with 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. It wouldn’t be a true Jeep Wrangler without massive torque, which the Rubicon 392 Concept has in spades.

An on and off-road monster, it can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 5 seconds. A clear upgrade over the base Wrangler model, the Concept also benefits from an upgraded Trail Rated package.

Featuring boosted Trail Rated capability, the Wrangler Rubicon Concept features improved traction and Fox shocks. A factory Jeep Performance Parts two-inch lift kit combines with 37-inch tires to help it stand out even more. The large tires definitely provide an aggressive stance, to say the least.

The Jeep 392 Concept features steel bumpers, Rubicon rock rails and a front Warn winch. Durable Dana 44 axles and a full-time two-speed transfer case combine with electric front and rear axle lockers to make one tough mudder.

To fit the larger powertrain, Jeep upgraded the engine mounts while modifying the frame of the Wrangler. There’s also a stronger 8-speed automatic transmission.

Adding more bark to the bite, a dual-mode exhaust system brings the 6.4L 392 HEMI to life. If you’re into a low, thunderous rumble with a throaty purr that begs you to give it more throttle, fire up the press release video. After listening to the HEMI roar, are you ready?

The current Wrangler, as Jeep fans know, features a 3.6L V6 engine with 285 hp. Many Jeep enthusiasts, while appreciative of the Wrangler, yearn for a more powerful version. So this Concept, if it comes to fruition, would be a very exciting development indeed.

Wrangler enthusiasts are already lining up, willingly ready to empty their pockets for a chance to encourage production. Will Jeep make their dreams come true? Stay tuned to find out.
