Surfing has become even more extreme thanks to the JetSurf, a jet propelled surfboard designed by Formula 1 engineer Martin Sula. Outfitted with a 2-stroke 100cc engine, the carbon fiber Jetsurf can attain a top speed of 40 MPH on the water via the electronic throttle attached to the surfer’s wrist, which also double as a kill switch—while up to 45 miles or an hour and a half of high speed surfing is possible on a single tank of gas. There is no gas gauge, however, so make sure you’re somewhere close to the surf before you run the tank bone dry.
