From Longines’ esteemed aviation history comes the Pilot Majetek. It’s an undeniably muscular watch, but one that’s more sophisticated and less beefcakey thanks to its refined details. Long before the GMT Master, Longines built the Majetek for the Czech Air Force, with an arrow attached to a moving bezel, elegantly fluted for grip, so that aviators could keep track of departures and time changes.
The applications have a real wow factor, creating an intriguing spacial quality on this cushion-shaped watch. The dial’s starkness helps with this, featuring a small seconds subdial but nothing else, not even its water resistance. Its movement is based on ETA 831.191, the silicon balance spring of which provides greater accuracy.
