Nike Dunk High 1985 x UNDERCOVER Gym Red Sneaker

Japanese fashion designer Jun Takahashi is legendary for his Undercover line, one of the first brands to explore high-end streetwear for men. Now almost 30 years later, Undercover has cemented itself as one of the godfathers of Japanese streetwear—making this collaboration with Nike a natural step that’s been decades in the making.

Taking the iconic DNA of the 1985 Dunk Highs, Takahashi put on a totally new and innovative color setup while maintaining the same clean lines and aggressive stance of the original. The black leather overlays pair perfectly with a pebbled red underlayer, paying homage to Nike’s basketball heritage at the same time as it nods towards the best that Japanese streetwear has to offer.
