Nike ISPA Link Shoes

Published By

Shoes are heavy, bulky, and darn near impossible to recycle. This is because they have to be broken down and shredded, which takes a lot of time and energy and doesn’t provide much to work with. Luckily, the ISPA team at Nike (Improvise; Scavenge; Protect; Adapt) has created the Link Shoe (in two styles). This innovative foot gear has been designed with the planet (and the future of sports) in mind, because it’s 100 percent recyclable and produces zero waste. The kicker? It can be completely disassembled.

The Nike ISLA Link and Link Axis are simply three interlocking pieces — a booty, sole, and laces — and absolutely no glue. Once they’re ready to “toss”, they can be broken down and dropped off at participating Nike recycling centers.

Available June 2022.
