Designworks x The North Face FutureLight Camper

Published By

This concept camper from outdoorsy giant The North Face, in partnership with BMW subsidiary Designworks, is nothing short of revolutionary.  It starts with an innovative fabric created using Nanospinning technology.  The North Face’s FUTURELIGHT fabric is lightweight, breathable, and waterproof, but it also delivers extreme performance, thanks to the seemingly impossible blend of air permeability and total waterproofing.

With their geodesic dome configuration, Designworks proves that this future fabric could be used for so much more than apparel.  Originally showcased as CES in Las Vegas in January 2019, Designworks threw in a hands-on, virtual reality experience so that attendees could better grasp the value of this innovative textile and the concept camper it spurred them to design.  Interested consumers can get their hands on FUTURELIGHT products (although not the camper) via The North Face’s Fall 2019 collection.
