10 Barrel Brewing hails from Bend, Oregon and is slowly taking over the west. Since 2006, they’ve opened six brewpubs from Oregon to Idaho and from Colorado to California. With a stated determination to get more people having more fun outside while enjoying their beer, the irreverent brewery is showing zero signs of slowing their growth.
One of their year-round releases, the simply named Pub Beer is a no-frills, no-pomp five percent lager with a clean, crisp flavor. It comes in a can and is meant to be enjoyed that way (it’s not the kind of beer that asks for a glass). After consuming, the plain white can is best dealt with through crushing (by hand or against a forehead is your call) before the next one is opened. A welcome entry into the admittedly sometimes overly self-important world of craft brew, this is what to pick up if you just need some good, cheap fun. – Learn More
