Reebok Pump Omni Zone II Basketball Shoes

During the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, Boston Celtics point guard Dee Brown needed a slam dunk with some style. Something memorable that no one else had tried yet. He went with eyes closed and right arm slung over his eyes. He won. And since Reebok’s relatively new Pump Omni Zone II shoes were laced to his feet at the time (he even took a moment before the dunk to pump his Pumps), the Boston-born sneaker company won pretty big too.

To celebrate the 30 year anniversary of that impressive — and sales boosting — feat, Reebok is reissuing the Omni Zones. Complete with a retro b-ball court shoe profile in a black, white, and wild orange colorway with flashy soles, these Pumps are basically giving a big, air-filled hug to everything that was ‘90s basketball style. Strap them on, pump them up, and think of something cool to do next time you approach the basket.
