Out in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is a custom and restoration shop called RTech Fabrications. They specialize in resto-mods of GM trucks from 1967 to 1972 and one thing they’re particularly fond of undertaking is adding a custom crew cab to Chevy trucks from the 1960s. While an extra cab is nearly standard-issue on trucks these days, it wasn’t until ‘73 that Chevrolet offered its own version. So RTech is changing that. In a big (very big) way.
Now part of RTech Fabrications’ truck offerings, the Ponderosa is a beast of a truck, based on a 1964 to 1966 Chevrolet and built to order. With the lift and tires, the truck stands eight feet tall, and with the custom fabricated crew cab, the Ponderosa is twenty feet long.
