It’s the holidays… break out the Champagne! But why? Instead you can go with a brew that takes cues from the bubbly French stuff while still staying firmly in beer territory. The newest trend in IPA, the Brut, is a higher carbonation, lighter bodied ale that is, just like Champagnes bearing the Brut designation, very dry. Brooklyn-based Sixpoint Brewery has made their version of the bubbly beer in their small batch release called Sparkler.
Using fruity Mosaic and Citra hops, they’ve dreamed up a beer that’s effervescent, crisp, dry and refreshing. Sparkler is one of their Brewery Can Releases — available exclusively through their Sixpoint app (which you can also use to find their other beers).
