If you’re seeking out a design firm to build your multi-million dollar Las Vegas dream home, you’re gonna want to see some evidence of what each firm can accomplish. High-end custom home builder Blue Heron thinks catalogues, brochures, and online photos are nice and all, but what will really prove their stuff is a fully built, meticulously furnished, 15,000 square foot house that you can walk around in.
Vegas Modern 001 House is Blue Heron’s showhome where you can see first-hand how they meld the glitz of the Las Vegas strip with the spare serenity of the surrounding Mojave desert. Glass, concrete, and steel form hard angular lines that are mediated by the juxtaposition of rock beds, succulent gardens, and the vast sweeping views of the desert through the window walls.
Maybe the most impressive feature is the “floating deck.” Accessed by a transparent staircase, the deck extends out on a cantilevered bridge disappearing into the air with a panoramic view of The Strip’s neon glow far below on the desert floor. There’s also a reflecting pool with a similar view, nine baths, and an 11 car garage. If this house doesn’t convince you of Blue Heron’s luxury building abilities, we don’t know what will.
