But far from sticking solely to tradition, they’re also testing out new designs and models of their classic timepieces. Variations like this “Waffle” Dial Turn-O-Graph would lay the foundations for their next few decades of highly successful sport watches. It was one of the first Rolex watches to include an Oyster case, black rotating bezel—or “time-recording rim”, as Rolex called it then—and lume-filled Mercedes-style hands, and it still stands as a testament to the company’s vision.
