1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT

A design that stands the test of time, the Ferrari Dino 246 GT is possibly one of the most aesthetically pleasing automobiles ever made. Unfortunately, only 2,295 ever existed from 1969 to 1974. Now, there are even fewer around, let alone in decent condition.

That doesn’t mean you can’t find a fine example here and there. This particular one is exceptional. As a US-market Dino 246 GT, this car was originally owned by Johnny Neumann, a former ABA and NBA basketball player.

Purists will appreciate the numbers-matching 2.4 liter V6 engine, which was recently rebuilt in July of 2020. Also original is the five-speed manual transmission, rebuilt in 2004.

In 2020, mechanics rebuilt the triple Weber carburetors, re-cored the radiator, and installed new shocks and front springs to get the car in great shape. It also received new Michelin tires and had an alignment performed. Many additional parts have been either rebuilt or replaced.

From the factory, this was one of 314 to receive the Rosso Dino finish, although it now has a red exterior. Still, who doesn’t want a red Ferrari Dino? Featuring a Nero (black) vinyl interior, complete with a brand new A/C unit, this Dino is ready to roar.

Interested bidders will be happy to know the car comes with a clean Texas title along with a Marcel Massini report. BaT has a comprehensive photo gallery, allowing you to view the 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT in all its glory. Don’t miss this chance to own an Italian masterpiece.
