2020 Lotus Evora GT Coupe

Before the Pebble Beach reveal of the Lotus Evija, aka the first British all-electric hypercar, Lotus is offering North America a chance to grab the latest version of its handmade classic, Evora. Built to be lighter, faster, and more aerodynamically on point than its predecessor, the Evora 400, the 2020 Lotus Evora GT Coupe churns 416 horsepower from its 3.5 liter 6-cylinder engine. With 317 foot-pounds of torque and a curb weight that’s just over 3,000 pounds (3,104 to be exact) the street legal Evora GT will shoot to 60 miles an hour in just 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 188 miles per hour.

As one of the most aerodynamically efficient Lotus cars, the Evora GT employs a front lip, rear carbon fiber ducts, and a motorsport-inspired diffuser to use airflow to press the full power of the engine towards the extra grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Lotus has also focused on shaving weight from the Evora with an anodized aluminium chassis and carbon fiber components that include the rear bumper, wheel ducts, and sill covers on the outside and the seat backs and instruments panels on the inside. Go with the optional Carbon Pack and titanium exhaust and you’ll cut down another 70 pounds.

The Evora GT comes in your choice of a two-seater or a 2+2 configuration adding two seats in the back for diminutive passengers or a small amount of luggage. You also get your choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a shiftable six-speed automatic. All this lightness and speed will run you just under $100k and orders for the US and Canada are open now.
