Cadillac brings the next installment of their racing-inspired V-Series to life like never before. In fact, the all-new CT5-V Blackwing is the fastest, most powerful Cadillac ever built. If you are not ready for the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing editions, look out. They will hit the streets ready to leave you in their dust.
Intending to strike a balance between form and function, Cadillac only added new ideas to these vehicles if they serve a purpose. This includes larger grille openings designed to direct more airflow to the radiator and brakes.
From an underwing airflow-channeling underbody design to an available wind-tunnel-tested carbon fiber package, aerodynamics play a very important role in the Blackwing experience. So does performance.
Under the hood of the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a monstrous 6.2L supercharged V8 engine pushing 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque to the wheels. This is the cream of the crop.
As for the CT4-V, it still brings some serious power to the asphalt. A 3.6L supercharged V6 engine produces 472 hp with 445 pound-feet of torque in the CT4-V.
A 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters or a 6-speed manual transmission is available for both models. Brembo brake calipers are available in grey, blue, red, or bronze colors for both cars.
Three levels of interior configurations are also available in both Blackwing configurations, choose from Base, Mid-level, or Up-level trims. Both cars also include an AKG premium audio system as standard equipment.
It wouldn’t be a Cadillac if it wasn’t a smooth ride offering plenty of comfort. The latest Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension technology from Cadillac will take care of that. Both vehicles feature plenty of standard and optional equipment with the premium quality you expect from the luxurious automaker.
