Exploring any frontier is just more fun when you have a properly equipped overlanding vehicle by your side. Cue the 2022 Nissan Frontier Project Adventure Concept. This midsize pickup truck is ready to bring you anywhere you want to go.
Based on the 2022 Nissan Frontier PRO-4x, the Project Adventure Concept truck receives a few upgrades ideal for wandering off the beaten path. For starters you have a five-inch lift kit paired with 34-inch mud tires. The stance is just as aggressive as the performance in this beast.
A Yakima bed rack system combines with a Yakima LoadWarrior roof basket to ensure you can bring all your toys with you into the great unknown. There is even a sky tent when you need to get some shut-eye under the stars.
Listening to your favorite tunes is easy both inside and outside of the Frontier Project Adventure truck. There is a Bluetooth truck bed audio system by KICKER. You can still bring your acoustic guitar but campfires can be just as enjoyable when you listen to music as well.
As far as actual overlanding performance goes, the Project Adventure features a special NDA carbon fiber snorkel you can use to wade through standing water. Everything else you love about the Frontier PRO-4x is still here including shift on the fly four-wheel-drive and an electronic locking rear differential.
Pop the hood to catch a glimpse of the Nissan 3.8L V6 engine. This V6 produces 310 horsepower with 281 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission puts you in the optimal torque range for each driving scenario.
For the finishing touch, the 2022 Nissan Frontier Project Adventure Concept features an exterior wrap displaying the U.S. atlas. Nissan Design America went all out to provide you with a capable overlanding truck right off the lot. Now the only question is, will they make a concept like this available to the public in the near future?
