If you prefer off-roading in a mid-size pickup truck over the full-size options out there, you are going to love the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. Chevy is releasing the all-new 2023 Colorado ZR2 with a refreshed body design and several new enhancements to help you get the most out of your truck on every off-road adventure.

Chevrolet didn’t only redesign the exterior, they also gave the interior a completely refreshed look with more of the options you want for both work and recreational use. In fact, Chevrolet offers four different interior trim options for the 2023 Colorado, depending on your configuration.

For starters, there is the standard 11.3-inch color touchscreen infotainment system giving you access to the entertainment you want at your fingertips. There is also a standard eight-inch full-color instrument display, which is a segment-first for the Colorado. Both screens are completely customizable to your preference.

As for the ZR2, it is the most capable off-roading Colorado yet. Chevy gave the Colorado ZR2 a wide stance with an aggressive front grille shield. This truck looks mean. It also has the performance to back it up.

Under the hood you will find the 2.7L Turbo High-Output four cylinder engine from Chevy in the Colorado ZR2. This engine produces 310 horsepower with 430 pound-feet of torque. It features a max trailering rating of up to 6,000 pounds. That’s more than enough to bring your favorite dirt bike or ATV along for the ride.

An eight-speed automatic transmission takes care of the shifting for you while simultaneously ensuring you are in the best torque range when off-roading. There is even a three-inch lift from the factory on the 2023 Colorado ZR2, giving you plenty of ground clearance for some serious rock crawling.

When designing the all-new Colorado, Chevy opted to increase the wheelbase length by 3.1 inches over the previous model year’s design. Then they shortened the front overhang which looks more aggressive while providing you with a better approach angle.

Chevy also gave the Colorado ZR2 Multimatic DSSV dampers to give you even more off-road capability while providing a comfortable ride on the pavement. These dampers work hand-in-hand with the five selectable driving modes to enhance the truck’s drivability both on and off-road.

Production for the all-new Colorado begins in the first half of 2023. From the 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch tires to the rugged styling, the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 promises to be a hit. Sure, you have to wait until 2023 to get your hands on one, but it should prove to be worth the wait.
