Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge Speaker

Published By

Every new Bang & Olufsen speaker makes you wonder whether you’re supposed to listen to it or just stare at it appreciatively like some sort of functional sculpture. The correct answer is probably both. The B&O Beosound Emerge Speaker is designed like a super swank book standing on edge, which means it’ll look great next to your Taschen volumes, and the small footprint means it won’t take up much real estate.

Despite the small size, there’s a four-inch woofer in there alongside small drivers that have been carefully configured to deliver big sound that fills the room. As for the sculptural effect, the Emerge is made from oak, aluminum, and woven fabric from a high-end Danish textile manufacturer.

To control your music, reach for the soft-touch controls up top, or just say some words — Google Assistant is built in. The Google Home app will also let you pair up more than one Emerge speaker for fuller sound — and the only thing that looks better than a B&O sculptural speaker, is two of them.
