Bent Paddle Brewing Kanu Session Pale Ale

Published By

Before the bright sun of summer fades into the crisp orange glow of fall, get in a few more rounds on the water. Or if that’s not possible, at least throw back a few rounds of a brew that captures just what it feels like to paddle out towards the center of your lake of choice. Bent Paddle Brewing offers their Kanu Session Pale Ale as an homage to that no-frills watercraft, the aluminum canoe. The beer is an easy drinking session pale ale — and at 4.8% ABV, a few of these won’t detune your summer vibe.

Kanu is brewed by Bent Paddle, a Duluth, Minnesota brewery that aims to take traditional styles of beer and “bend” them a little to add something new to the brewing landscape. The malt backbone in Kanu is fully present with a dose of sweetness that’s well balanced by the bright citrus from the hops, which include Citra. Head to their new taproom next door to their brewery in Duluth and taste summer before it’s gone.
