Dogfish Head Beer For Breakfast

No time for breakfast? Just grab a smoothie!! Wait what? Sorry. Try that again.

No time for breakfast? Drink this beer. (That’s better.) Delaware based Dogfish Head has created a beer that is almost literally breakfast in a bottle. A dark black stout with strong coffee and smoke notes, this brew is made from cold press coffee, Massachusetts maple syrup, applewood smoked barley, oats, brown sugar, milk sugars and — to make it an authentic mid-Atlantic breakfast in a bottle — Beer For Breakfast has scrapple added to the mix. (If you don’t know what scrapple is, just know that it’s a breakfast meat, it gets its name from the word “scrap,” and you can’t knock it till you try it.)

As the brewery that brought us the very excellent 60 minute IPA, we trust Dogfish Head’s new effort to be sweet, savory, filling and … scrappy, just like breakfast should be. Learn more about it at Dogfish Head Brewery.
