Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda

Racing provides a thrill of competition while coming as close as possible to blending the spirit of a machine with the soul of a human. Gordon Murray and his former teammate, the late Niki Lauda, know the pinnacle of motorsport and aeronautical performance like few others.

In an effort to share the expertise of achievement, the Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda provides drivers with the opportunity to experience it for themselves. Gordon Murray automotive optimizes the road-going T.50 supercar for track use with this version.

The end result is a track experience “like no other car in history,” according to Gordon Murray automotive. It certainly has plenty of downforce with up to 1500 kg available through the fully adjustable aerodynamic settings.

Here is where you will begin scratching your head, the T.50s only weighs 852 kg, that’s about 1,878 pounds. Oh yeah, and it has a V12 engine. Not bad for a featherweight.

It is not just any 12 cylinder engine either, the T.50s has a Cosworth GMA V12 engine. This engine is quite different from the engine in the regular T.50 version of this car. The T.50s features a 3.9L V12 producing 711PS at 11,500. Not only is that a high-revving motor, it translates to approximately 701 horsepower.

With an official number of 725 brake horsepower with RAM induction, you will feel it thrust you forward like a jet. This engine produces 485 Nm of torque, so bring your helmet and buckle up.

Even more puzzling is this engineering marvel of an engine only weighs 162 kg or about 357 pounds. This is a very powerful, yet lightweight V12. A 6-speed paddle speed gearbox is available with customizable gear ratios. Depending on ratios, the T.50s can achieve a top speed between 200 to 210 miles per hour.

Do you want to hear the Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda screaming at wide-open throttle, approaching the 11,000 rpm range? Of course you do. The free-flowing Iconel exhaust system will sound like a sweet symphony to any gearhead’s ears.

Why would you want to bring anything else to the track?
