The James Brand Cache River

Published By

Full disclosure: Pretty much everything the James Brand puts down, we’re keen to pick up. The latest product aimed at your EDC is the Cache River. If you find yourself tempted to use your knife to tighten a loose screw, you need this. If you’ve ever felt that the screwdriver on your multi-tool was just a little too small or a bit too awkward, you also need this. And if you just can’t stop yourself from collecting cool, useful carry, well, you might not need this, but you’ll probably get it anyway.

The anodized aluminum shell stows two bits inside and the bits attach to the end of the Cache River via magnets. The ball bearing pivot point at the top gives you smooth operation while the lanyard attachment grants a few more carry options. If the tool looks familiar, you may be thinking of the Carryology collaboration from earlier this year that had the Cache River, the Ellis Pocket Tool, and the Stillwell Pen all housed in a Cordura sheath. The bit driver was such a hit that the EDC community demanded it be offered on its own. And now it is. Lucky us.
